Marishka x Sskein Collab Logo

a collaboration between art and fashion

knitting the future

When two worlds collide, innovation takes shape. The collaboration between SSKEIN and 3D print artist Marishka is a dialogue between tradition and futurism, where the intimacy of knitwear meets the precision of technology.

United by a shared passion for fashion as art, we reimagine stitches as sculptural lines, soft textures as architectural forms, and craft as a canvas for experimentation. At the center of this vision is a singular handbag—conceived as wearable art—embodying the tactile poetry of knit while embracing the bold possibilities of 3D printing.

Available in Noir, Crimson, Chrome and Pearl

A look behind the scenes

The making of "marion" the 3d print cable bag

From sketch to sculpture, each stage of the process transforms vision into form. Beginning with a digital sketch, refined through 3D modeling and rendering, the handbag is then brought to life through over 24 hours of meticulous 3D printing in PLA filament. Every layer is a testament to patience and precision, resulting in a singular piece of wearable art—a seamless fusion of technology, craft, and design.

about the material

What is pla filament?

Our handbags are made with PLA filament, a plant-based bioplastic derived from renewable resources such as corn starch. Unlike conventional plastics made from petroleum, PLA requires fewer fossil fuels and produces lower carbon emissions during manufacturing. It is also non-toxic and, under industrial composting conditions, can naturally break down into water and carbon dioxide. By choosing PLA, we reduce environmental impact while exploring new ways to merge sustainable materials with innovative design.

MEET MARIJANA

Founder Marijana Mesaraos is originally from Serbia and moved to Berlin in 2018, a transition that inspired her to embrace her authentic self and explore new creative paths.

With a background as a nail technician and hairstylist, she taught herself digital art, eventually progressing to 3D modeling and animation. Passionate about fashion, she was drawn to the rise of glass, ceramic, and 3D-printed bags, creating her first spiky bag on a small home printer in 2024.

This led to the founding of Marishka, where every piece begins as a digital sculpture in ZBrush and is transformed into a wearable object through hours of printing and hand-finishing. Her designs balance bold, futuristic forms with individuality and playfulness, and collaborations, such as with Sskein, fuse tactile textures with sculptural design to create treasured, intentional pieces.

Marijana currently resides in Seattle, WA.
