HOW TO CARE
Explore our care tips to preserve the softness, shape, and integrity of your Sskein knits over time.

CLEAN
Professionally dry clean or hand-wash with cold water and a small amount of gentle detergent. No heat, no wringing. Press out the water carefully, then lay the item flat on a towel to dry. We recommend Good Wool, our plant-based laundry detergent formulated for fine knits.

DRY
Skip unnecessary washing to preserve the natural fibers. For lightweight and midweight knits, simply air out in the shade to restore freshness. For heavier pieces, we recommend professional dry cleaning to maintain shape and structure.

STEAM
For a quick reset, mist lightly with a fabric spray or gently steam with a steamer to release wrinkles and odors. A gentle pass of steam restores softness and shape between wears.

STORE
Fold and store in breathable cotton bags or on open shelves to prevent moisture buildup. Natural fibers attract moths. Store with cedar balls, lavender sachets or a touch of essential oil on a cotton pad to deter unwelcome guests.

repair
Beginning with our last collection you may have noticed a quiet new detail: a small skein of matching yarn attached to the hang tag of each piece. It's there with a purpose. This strand is meant to support repair—whether it's a small snag now or a loved piece in need of mending years from today. It's our gentle invitation to care for your garments and keep them in rotation for seasons to come.
For expert repair, we recommend The FXRY, a partner in artful mending.

REVIVE
Pilling is a natural result of wear, especially in soft, high-quality knits. Caused by friction, these small fibers rise to the surface over time—it’s not a flaw, but a sign of the garment’s character. To gently remove pills, we recommend a sweater comb, designed for delicate knits and fine-gauge woolens, and a high-performance fabric shaver, that is safe for your most treasured pieces. With thoughtful care, your garments will continue to look and feel their best for seasons to come.
